To get an idea of the scent profile, imaging kitchen sage with some dill, a little bit of black pepper, and a drop or two of grapefruit. Additional Info: One of our suppliers has started offering another type of sage smudge stick which they call California White Sage. Kamala says it is extremely fragrant and rich, better than many of the white sages she has smelled. In weight, they range from 0.8 to 1. 1 ounces. An infusion of the leaves is used as a blood tonic and as a treatment for coughs and colds. The leaves can be eaten, or used as a sweat bath, in the treatment of colds. They have also been crushed in water and used as a hair shampoo, dye, and straightener. As for burning white shage, the leaves have been burnt fumigate a house after a case of contagious disease, such as measles. It ês also a very strong anti-inflammatory when taken as a tea or infusion and may help reduce ulcerative symptoms. There is no distinction for usage between California white and Salvia apiana grown elsewhere. |
