This polished brash burner is a great convertable.  A charcoal can be placed on the mesh screen, allowing the ashes to fall through.  Cones can be burned in the bowl, and with the addition of sand, sticks can be propped up in the mesh.  This burner also comes with a wooden trivet to absorb the heat transmitted by the brass.  This is a very useful 3-piece set.  NOTE:   ALL OF OUR STOCK IS CURRENTLY AT THE BRISTOL RENAISSANCE FAIR IN WISCONSIN.  WE SHOULD BE RETURNING THIS ITEM TO STOCK JUST AFTER LABOR DAY 2008.

When we first tried this burner at the Colorado Renaissance Festival, we sold them out in 3 hours.  Therfore, we are adding them to our website.  It is a fairly short burner, so one might want to consider using it only for shorter sticks.  Since it is soapstone, however, it can be used with cones and powders (use a trivit when burning a charcoal).  It has a shiny black surface and what we think is mother of pearl for the inlay.

This soapstone plate burner has five holes for sticks, one at each corner of the center pentagon.  There is also a circular indentation in the center for cones.  While this burner can be used for charcoals and powders, we recommend against it as it is so thin the heat transfers through to the bottom quite easily.  If you must use charcoals, please place this burner on a fireproof surface, such as a tile or trivit.  As this is natural soapstone, the color and/or patterns of the stone will vary from what is pictured.  NOTE:   ALL OF OUR STOCK IS CURRENTLY AT THE BRISTOL RENAISSANCE FAIR IN WISCONSIN.  WE SHOULD BE RETURNING THIS ITEM TO STOCK JUST AFTER LABOR DAY 2008.
