Further Information:  While many sites assign the name templin to pretty much any fir oil, true templin is essential oil made from the cone of the European silver fir, as templin oil is part of the seed and not the needles.  One manufacturer describes the scent as fresh, sweet, pine needle, balsm with bitter orange tone.
