WARNING: MAY IRRITATE SENSITIVE SKIN. PRODUCT DATAKamala's Description: There is a lot of myth surrounding Abramelin, the scent. What can be determined to be absolute fact is this recipe was named by Alister Crowley. Other information, which has yet to be confirmed, is that some time in the 14th century an author known as Abraham the Jew (Abram Elin?) wrote a book of practical magic for his son. Abraham supposedly lived in the time of Nicholas Flamel and Christian Rosenkreutz, alleged to be a founder of the Rosicrucian order, and became a mystic wanderer. Many of the rituals in the translated book, however, seem to be directly related to kabbalistic works; and the recipe is said to have been derived from one in the book of Exodus. Whether the original manuscript is an actual work or an ancient hoax that has been worshiped into reality, we have yet to determine based on our superficial research. We do know this recipe is usually made using macerated plant material, though our recipe uses the now available essential oils to re-create this scent. | |
