PRODUCT DATA Further Information: Palmarosa has a clean and refreshing, yet gentle scent which belies its formidable range of aromatherapeutic uses. It is very useful in skin care products and soaps, as it is antiviral, antibacterial, and antifungal. Since Palmarosa essential oil regulates the sebum production in the skin and hydrates it as well, it can be used for eczema, psoriasis, acne, and healing scars. Palmarosa has also been used with some success in cases of shingles. Because of its anti-inflammatory nature, Palmarosa is also used for sinusitis, bronchitis, stomach flu, arthritis, and urinary tract infections. Palmarosa is an excellent tonic for the heart, uterus, and nervous system, and can be used during pregnancy. Its nerve tonic effects make it helpful in cases of sciatica and rheumatism. Emotionally, Palmarosa is calming, comforting, and revitalizing. It has been used in the treatment of depression and nervous exhaustion.
