PRODUCT DATAScent Category: Earth Kamala's Description: This oil is pronounced Sheeper. It is a perfume that was supposedly popular in ancient times. It was also supposedly the perfume of Cleopatra. Chypre is also the name of a family of modern perfumes originated in 1917 by Francois Coty. Designer perfumes in the chypre family include Channel No. 5, Aromatics Elixir by Clinique, and Knowing by Este Lauder. This scent, however, does not resemble any of those scents. Kamala says that Chypre is earthy, warm, and sensual. To Grunt's nose, the oakmoss is the heaviest note; but with patchouli, galbanum, and oud as other ingredients, this is definitely an earth-based scent. While strong in the bottle, it does mellow on the skin over time. | |
