Perfume Oil Blends

Kamala's Own™ perfumes are oil blends we have created using essential oils and/or fragrance oils that are designed specifically for scent.  Kamala's inspired artistic creations are perfumes simply meant to be experienced.  Please wear and enjoy!
  Oils come in up to five sizes, only three of which are listed on this page because of space constraints.
The dram and 10mL come open topped but include an orifice reducer you may insert if you wish.
The 1-oz. is open-top only, and the 1/6-oz. is a roll-on only.

Ambergris

Many years ago, the waxy lumps of Ambergris commonly washed up on beaches all over the world. However, since the whaling industry killed off manyof the earth's whales, Ambergris is a substance so rare that only a few people in the world even know what it is supposed to look like, much less smell like.Ambergris is Kamala's attempt to mimic this precious substance. The scent is ambery and musky with a hint of spice.

Cap'n Jack

We have a wonderful Cap'N Jack character at the Colorado Renaissance Festival who inspired Kamala to try to make a scent which would express the magnetic and madcap character of Captain Jack Sparrow. She threw herself at this project and wasn't satisfied until her fourth version of this scent. It turned out to be her most complex blend yet. It starts with bay rum, musk, and tobacco and gets much more interesting from there. See if you dare to wear this one!

Chypre

This oil is pronounced Sheeper. It is a perfume that was supposedly popular in ancient times. It was also supposedly the perfume of Cleopatra. Kamala says that Chypre is earthy, warm, and sensual. While strong in the bottle, it does mellow on the skin over time.

Dragon's Blood

This is crushed Dragon's Blood resin in a blend essential oils. It is not essential oil of Dragon's Blood. Dragon's Blood is an intriguing blend created by Kamala, as true Dragon's Blood essential oil does not exist. Therefore, she crushes some Dragon's Blood resin and adds oils that help enhance the smell of the burning resin. This is truly a very popular and successful blend.

A blend originally made fora male friend of Kamala's, Dreamrider has turned out to be the sort of scent that many different people can wear equally well. This fact has made it one of Kamala's most popular perfume blends. It features Sweet Orange and Vanilla as its primary ingredients, but also includes florals and spices. Due to loss of an ingredient, this scent was reformulated on July 26, 2006.

During one of Kamala's many forays into historical research, she found multiple references to the most famous perfume in ancient Greece. It included Cinnamon and Myrrh and had a reputation for being both an alluring perfume and a wound healing agent. Kamala was intrigued and did more research in order to be able to blend a modern version of this ancient classic. The scent is spicy, yet subtle, with mysterious depth.
